When you choose me as your photographer, know that I’m here for you. Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, and my goal is to help capture it exactly how you envision it.
One thing you’ll notice about my portfolio is that it showcases a variety of styles. That’s intentional. Every couple is unique, and I work closely with you to make sure your photos reflect your personality and vision. Whether you’re drawn to a high-grain, vintage aesthetic with bold direct flash, or a timeless, true-to-color look, I’ll tailor my approach to match your preferences.
With over 17 years of experience, I’ve honed the skills to shoot and edit in a range of styles. We’ll discuss everything—from your color palette to the vibe you want—so we’re on the same page. For example, if your wedding decor is bursting with vibrant colors, but your inspiration photos lean neutral, I’ll explain how those tones may translate into the final edits and help set realistic expectations.
My photography style is dynamic. I’m all about capturing the real, raw moments as they happen—those candid, in-between memories that make your day yours. But I also mix in editorial and traditional shots to make sure you have a variety of images to look back on.
Weddings mean the world to me—not just the work itself, but the trust you’re placing in me to preserve these memories. When you choose me as your photographer, you’re getting more than someone with a camera. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader, there to help guide you throughout the day so things run as smoothly and stress-free as possible.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to create photos you love and tell your story authentically, because it means everything to me that you chose me to be part of it.
How would you describe your wedding photography approach?
My approach blends documentary storytelling with thoughtful guidance. I focus on capturing real moments as they unfold while stepping in when needed to help things feel calm, connected, and natural, especially during portraits and family photos. The result is a wedding gallery that feels honest, emotional, and timeless.
We’re not comfortable in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Most couples feel this way. You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. I guide you in ways that feel natural, using movement and prompts so you can focus on being together rather than worrying!
Do you prioritize candid moments or posed portraits?
Both are important. I document the in-between moments that make your day feel real, while also being intentional about portraits that show connection and emotion. You’ll receive a balanced gallery with storytelling moments and meaningful portraits you’ll want to display.
How involved are you during the wedding day?
I’m present and attentive without being intrusive. I step in when guidance is helpful and step back when moments are unfolding naturally. My role is to help the day flow smoothly while documenting it in a way that feels effortless and true to you.
Do you help with the wedding day timeline?
Yes. I work with you (and your planner, if you have one) to build a photography timeline that allows the day to breathe. This helps reduce stress, keeps things moving smoothly, and creates space for genuine moments to happen.
How do you handle family photos and group portraits?
Family photos are handled with calm direction and clear communication. I move efficiently while being respectful of family dynamics, ensuring we capture important groupings without pulling you away from your day longer than necessary.
What happens if things run behind schedule?
Things happen sometimes that are out of your control, and thats ok! I adapt quickly and help prioritize what matters most, ensuring we still capture meaningful moments even if plans shift.
Do you photograph weddings in all lighting conditions?
Yes. From bright outdoor ceremonies to low-light receptions, I’m experienced in working with a variety of lighting situations to create images that feel natural and consistent throughout your gallery.
How many images will we receive?
Your final gallery is thoughtfully curated to tell the full story of your day. Rather than focusing on a specific number, I prioritize delivering a complete and meaningful collection that reflects your wedding honestly. On average, you can expect 100 images per hour of shooting.
When will we receive our wedding photos?
Wedding galleries are delivered within a 4-6 week window. Fall weddings can expect delivery more so within the longer timeframe while other seasons can expect the shorter window. Each image is carefully edited to ensure consistency, emotion, and curated to your style preference.
Do you travel for weddings outside of Columbus, Ohio?
Yes. I’m based in Columbus, Ohio and do travel anywhere in the US and some international locations. Travel details are discussed during the booking process.
What makes your wedding photography experience different?
I care so much about how your wedding day feels. My role is to create a calm, supportive, and intentional experience so you can stay present while knowing your memories are being documented with care. At the heart of my work is a deep love for connection, which is why photographing weddings means so much to me. I’ve been photographing since 2009, working across weddings, seniors, and families, and that range of experience shapes how I approach wedding days. Photographing seniors has taught me how to help people feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera, while family sessions have trained my eye to anticipate real, fleeting moments as they unfold. Together, this allows me to blend thoughtful portraiture with honest, documentary storytelling, creating images that feel both natural and timeless.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
Most couples book 9–15 months in advance, especially for popular wedding dates. Booking early ensures availability and allows time to thoughtfully plan your photography experience.
Almost there!
